Amaya's Story

This is my granddaughter Amaya.  She is 6 years old.  Of course, the picture to my left is before she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (brain cancer), and the picture in the banner is Amaya today as she bravely fights this disease.  Amaya has such a sweet nature, even in the midst of this fight for her life - she's still smiling.  I have created a blog for Amaya at http://amayasblog.help4amaya.comFamily and friends drop by to leave words of encouragement that I am going to compile in a pink (her favorite color) scrapbook for her.  Although we are in two different states, I try to visit as often as humanly possible in order to give her mother some time for herself and to care for Amaya's sisters and brother too.  This is a disease that affects the entire family in more ways than I ever would have imagined.I invite you all to visit Amaya's blog and sign her guestbook so that I can add your comments to the "Help Amaya Heal" scrapbook!

You can also read more about Amaya on http://www.squidoo.com/Medulloblastoma-Research-and-TreatmentI've been a busy grandma creating blogs and lenses and hub pages about Amaya!  I've got prayer warriors around the country who are praying for her and our entire family.  I'm on a mission!
